Anniversaries

Julie and Ric
21st April 2012

A year ago today was my best friends Wedding …

I will never forget the day when Julie phoned me and said “OMG Jane, I’m getting married! I’m gonna be a Bride, I’m so excited …. I need your help!” I was so excited for Julie and Ric and after 20 years of being together they had finally decided to tie the knot!

The date was set for 21st April 2012 at the lovely Mannings Heath Hotel. Julie had fallen in love with a stunning Wedding Dress at Crystal Brides which was full of beautiful burgundy crystal detail and the colour scheme was arranged around her dress …

Julie also wanted Red Roses to be incorporated in the Wedding Decor as this was symbolic as a memory to her daughter Jessica and was an important part of the Venue Styling. Julie’s Wedding Bouquet was a stunning arrangement of burgundy and ivory roses with crystal diamantes designed by Gill Pike Florist. As a memory to Jessica an angel embellishment with Jessica’s birthstone was pinned to the bouquet.

Julie wanted the Venue Styling to be a complete surprise to her until her Wedding Day. I had so much fun being creative, I wanted the venue to look magical as this was my wedding present to her. It was very hard keeping everything secret from Julie and from a designers point of view most Brides have specific ideas of what they want on their Wedding Day. Julie said to me “I completely trust you Jane, burgundy is the colour scheme and I would like Red Roses for Jessica, the rest I will leave up to you … ”

… and so the fun began

Chair Covers were dressed in beautiful burgundy organza sashes and diamanté wraps were added to give extra sparkle …

I wanted the ceremony room to look stunning … The Fairylight Backdrop was placed behind the registrar’s table which created a magical ambience. Beautiful Candelabras were dressed with burgundy crystal garlands, a stunning table arrangement designed by Gill Pike florist was full of burgundy and ivory roses and was full of sparkle…
