Yesterday I dressed a really Special Wedding …
Horsham and District Sands is a charity very close to my heart that raises awareness and provides support to bereaved parents, friends or family following the loss of a baby, before, during or shortly after birth.
15 years ago my best friend and I were both pregnant at the same time. We were both so excited about having babies together and them growing up to be best friends. Tragically Julie lost her baby at 39 weeks and both our dreams were shattered. I know the pain she experienced at losing Jessica and it was a very emotional time for both of us as 10 weeks later I gave birth to Cameron.
Horsham and District Sands is a new charity to Horsham, run by bereaved parents and it is self funded. As a company I wanted to do something really special to help towards the funding of the group, as the work they do in the community is amazing.
I decided to offer a gift of complete venue styling for up to 100 guests worth over £1000. The prize consisted of up to 100 chair covers, 100 wedding favours, 10 centrepieces and fairylight backdrop hire. I ran the prize with my Brides and Victoria purchased the gift for £600 and the full £600 was donated to Horsham and District Sands.
Victoria was very excited to have won the prize especially as the money was being donated to charity. Victoria and her Mum met me for coffee a few months before her Wedding at Ghyll Manor Hotel and we started planning her Wedding Decor. Victoria wanted a Classic Vintage Style Wedding. She choose beautiful Antique Rose Organza Sashes as this matched perfectly with the Memory Lane Roses she was having in her bouquet and colour scheme. Victoria wanted a romantic feel to her Wedding and she choose beautiful Candelabra Centrepieces dressed with crystal garlands which sparkles as it catches the light. The perfect finishing touches were Memory Lane Roses placed in beautiful glass holders with stunning T-Light holders around the centrepieces with a scattering of fresh rose petals. The Wedding Favours were beautiful handcrafted ivory boxes dressed with ivory satin ribbon and stunning diamanté love hearts.
I am so proud to have donated this gift to Horsham and District Sands, Julie and I hope to raise awareness and make a difference so no friends ever have to go through what we both experienced…
Here are some photos of yesterday’s Wedding. Congratulations to Victoria and David, wishing you both lots of love and happiness for the future.
